In the quiet and picturesque corners of Eastern Turkey, nestled in a small Kurdish village, sisters Inan and Selva Isik spent their formative years, surrounded by the warmth of family—three sisters, one brother, and the boundless beauty of their homeland. But as the sun began to set on their childhood, the pull of the world beyond their village became undeniable. In the late 1980s, the Isik family transitioned from the rustic tranquility of the East to the vibrant, ever-evolving metropolis of Istanbul, where new opportunities awaited.

Inan, inspired by the intricate world of textiles, followed her sister's footsteps and immersed herself in the world of fabrics at an early age. Meanwhile, Selva embraced the dynamic world of retail, traveling far and wide, opening stores, and cultivating a global perspective. But for Inan, there was always an unspoken desire, a creative longing that whispered in the background—a “je ne sais quoi” she couldn’t quite place.

At the age of 35, Inan realized it was time to answer that call. In her apartment on Amaliegade in Copenhagen, she began to build something uniquely her own—a luxury silk collection for women who wore European sizes 44 to 50. Her vision was clear: to create fashion that wasn’t just about aesthetics, but about integrity, craftsmanship, and community. The best materials, the finest workmanship, and a commitment to ethical production were the cornerstones of her brand, Inan Isik.

From the very beginning, Inan’s values were woven into every seam of her collection. She sought out women artisans, producers, and suppliers, prioritizing female collaboration across the supply chain. Every piece of the garment is created to reflect the beauty of the female body.

Throughout this journey, Selva, ever the supportive sister, stood by Inan’s side. In 2024, the sisters decided to make their partnership official, combining their individual strengths and experiences to further diversify the brand. Selva, based in Istanbul, and Inan, in Copenhagen, bridged the miles between them through their shared passion and frequent travels between both cities.

With the brand’s relaunch, Inan Isik expanded its size range, embracing inclusivity with sizes now extending from 32 to 54. The sisters' commitment to creating fashion that celebrates all women—regardless of size—remained at the heart of their work.

Today, Inan Isik a celebration of sisterhood, culture, and the artistry that comes from blending heritage with innovation. It’s a testament to the beauty of collaboration, of following your passion, and of creating a space for all women to feel luxurious, empowered, and seen.
